Section Env-A 1804.01 - Notification for Major Asbestos Abatement Projects

(a) Except as provided in Env-A 1804.04, the owner or operator (O/O) shall provide written notification to the department and the local government official, as applicable, for the asbestos abatement project worksite location.
(b) The notice required by (a), above, shall:
(1) Contain the information specified in
Env-A 1804.06;
(2) Be sent by
first-class mail through the U.S. postal service (USPS), delivered by a
commercial delivery service, or delivered in hand as specified in Env-A
1801.04(a); and
(3) Be sent or
delivered such that the department receives the notice at least 10 working days
before any asbestos abatement activity begins.
(c) The O/O shall provide a revised notification to the department if the start date changes, the completion date changes, both the start date and completion date change, or a break in operation occurs, as follows:
(1) The O/O
shall notify the department within 24 hours of changing the date(s) or
interrupting the operation via telephone, fax, or email as specified in Env-A
1801.04(b); and
(2) The O/O shall
provide a paper copy of the revised notification to the department by sending
or delivering it within one business day by first-class USPS mail, commercial
delivery service, or hand delivery as specified in Env-A 1801.04(a).
