(a) A journeyman electrician license shall be issued when the applicant:

(1) Submits a completed application, along with the appropriate fee, pursuant to Elec 301.04(e) and (i);

(2) Meets the qualification requirements of Elec 303.01;

(3) Meets the examination requirements of Elec 304, as applicable;

(4) Has no disqualifying felony convictions pursuant to Elec 301.04(e)(7); and

(5) Has not had his/her electrician's license suspended, revoked or sanctioned in any jurisdiction pursuant to Elec 301.04(e)(8).

(b) For the purposes of (a)(4) above, a felony conviction shall be considered disqualifying if:

(1) The date of conviction is 10 years old or less; and

(2) One of the following applies:
a.The conviction involves theft, forgery, fraud or other purpose to deprive the property of another; or

b.The conviction involves perjury, unsworn falsification or other falsification of official matters; or

c.The conviction has a direct bearing on the applicant's ability to be licensed as an electrician.

(c) An applicant who has been denied a journeyman electrician license shall be provided an opportunity for an administrative hearing before the board in accordance with the requirements of Elec 207.

(d) The initial fee for a journeyman electrician license shall be $50.00 for each year or portion of a year remaining of the 3-year license period.
