Section Agr 2901.04 - Application

(a) The owner or agent of the equine quarantine facility shall file an application with the department of agriculture, markets and food to receive stallions and mares from CEM affected countries.
(b) The application shall contain the following:
(c) The owner or agent of the equine quarantine facility shall comply with all provisions as listed in 9 CFR, subpart C, sections 93.301 and 93.304 published in the Code of Federal Regulations, January 1, 2007 and shall review the appropriate handling and testing procedures for stallions and mares with the state veterinarian in those regulations.
(d) The applicant shall reimburse the state of New Hampshire for expenses incurred by the state veterinarian and the division of animal industry of the department of agriculture, markets and food for CEM inspections and monitoring. The reimbursement fee shall be mileage expense, which means the round trip mileage from the tester's official headquarters to the destination at a rate set by the state each year, in accordance with the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement, and the hourly expense of the state veterinarian or his agent for the time spent to travel and monitor the importing and testing procedures and any administrative time used to fulfill the intent of the quarantine. Reimbursement shall be accomplished before the animal is released from quarantine.
