(a) At the beekeeper's request or on suspicion of the presence of a regulated pest, the inspector shall inspect colonies for brood diseases and parasites by lifting frames of brood from the colony and examining the brood on both sides of the frame for evidence of any disease or parasites.

(b) Inspectors shall disinfect hive tools and gloves or hands when moving from one apiary to another.
