1. For the purpose of section 9 of Assembly Bill No. 321, chapter 483, Statutes of Nevada 2023, at page 2969 (NRS 597.7178), the Commission hereby adopts by reference IEEE 2845: "Standard for Testing and Evaluating the Dielectric Performance of Celebratory Balloons in Contact with Overhead Power Distribution Lines Rated up to 38 kV System Voltage," in the form most recently approved and published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, unless the Commission gives notice that the most recent publication is not suitable for this State pursuant to subsection 3.

2. The publication adopted by reference pursuant to subsection 1 may be obtained from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers by telephone at (855) 999-9870 or at the Internet address https://standards.ieee.org/, for $75 for nonmembers and $60 for members for an electronic copy and $93 for nonmembers and $75 for members for a printed copy.

3. The Commission will review each revision of the publication adopted by reference pursuant to subsection 1 to determine its suitability for this State. If the Commission determines that the revision is not suitable for this State, it will hold a public hearing to review its determination and give notice of that hearing within 6 months after the date of the publication of the revision. If, after the hearing, the Commission does not revise its determination, the Commission will give notice that the revision is not suitable for this State within 30 days after the hearing. If the Commission does not give such notice, the revision becomes part of the publication adopted by reference pursuant to subsection 1.
