1. Except as otherwise provided in NAC 704.418, a utility that intends to terminate service to a customer shall give written notice of the termination to the customer and make a reasonable effort to notify any:

Except as otherwise provided in subsection 1, the notice must be served upon each person described in that subsection at least 5 business days before the date of the termination by personal delivery or by first-class mail addressed to his or her last known mailing address. Service of the notice shall be deemed complete as of the date of mailing or personal delivery.
