Section 683A.103 - Interpretation of terms used in definition of "administrator

1. For the purposes of subsection 1 of NRS 683A.025, the "adjustment or settlement of claims" includes, but is not limited to:
(a)
Investigating or examining claims; or
(b) Receiving, disbursing, handling or
otherwise being responsible for the claim funds, of an insurance company,
internal service fund, program of self-insurance, or other entity which is an
administrator pursuant to
NRS
683A.025.
2. The exemption from the definition of "administrator" provided by paragraph (d) of subsection 2 of NRS 683A.025 does not apply to any separate subsidiary or affiliated corporation of an insurance company.
