1. Any device, as defined in 21 U.S.C. § 321, that is a laser, a radial shockwave device, a cryotherapy device or a device that emits radio frequencies, plasma, intense pulsed light, ultrasound, microwave or similar energies and which is considered a prescription device by the United States Food and Drug Administration is an esthetic medical device appropriate for use in an esthetic medical procedure.

2. An advanced esthetician may, in accordance with the requirements of this chapter and chapter 644A of NRS, perform any nonablative esthetic medical procedure that is performed using an esthetic medical device described in subsection 1.
