Section 639.712 - Transcribing prescription transmitted by oral order

1. A pharmacist who transcribes a prescription transmitted by an oral order of a practitioner or the practitioner's agent shall sign or initial the prescription and specify on the prescription:
(a) The date
the prescription was orally transmitted to the pharmacy; and
(b) The name of the person who orally
transmitted the prescription.
2. This section does not apply to chart orders.
