1. A pharmacist, pharmaceutical technician or dispensing practitioner may mix components of commercially manufactured, ready-to-use products approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration. A pharmacist, pharmaceutical technician or dispensing practitioner who mixes components of commercially manufactured ready-to-use products pursuant to this subsection shall:

Except as otherwise provided in paragraph (c) of subsection 1, a pharmacist, pharmaceutical technician or dispensing practitioner is not required to comply with the compounding standards established in the publications and standards adopted by reference in subsection 1 of NAC 639.670 when he or she mixes ready-to-use products pursuant to subsection 1 of this section.
