CONTINUING EDUCATION
Section 638.0432 - Credit granted for attending portion of Board meeting relating to complaints; restrictions

1. Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, the Board will grant credit for continuing education, not to exceed:

(a) Four hours during a period of licensing toward the hours of continuing education required by subsection 1 of NAC 638.041, to a licensed veterinarian for attending a meeting of the Board; and

(b) Two hours during a period of licensing toward the hours of continuing education required by subsection 2 of NAC 638.041, to a licensed veterinary technician for attending a meeting of the Board.

2. The Board will grant credit pursuant to subsection 1 if the meeting of the Board for which credit for continuing education is being sought is not a hearing in which the licensed veterinarian or licensed veterinary technician is participating as the result of a disciplinary action.

3. One hour of credit will be given for each hour spent attending a meeting of the Board as described in subsection 1.
