Chapter 637 - Dispensing Opticians

Section 637.215 - Transfer of license to inactive list; renewal of inactive status; reactivation of license

1. The holder of a license as a dispensing optician who is in good standing with the Board, may submit an application in the form and manner prescribed by the Board to inactivate such a license.
2. An inactive license is valid for a term of 5 years. A licensee may renew an inactive license for a second 5-year period. A license may not be inactive for a period of more than 10 consecutive years.
3. To renew his or her inactive status, the holder of the license must submit to the Board a written request in the form and manner prescribed by the Board and pay the fee for the renewal of the of the inactive license as set forth in NAC 637.220.
4. An inactive license as a dispensing optician that expires because it is not renewed pursuant to subsection 3 or is not reactivated before exceeding the time limit provided in subsection 2 may not be reinstated.
