If a portion of a planting does not show enough chemical injury to prevent or interfere with an inspection of the planting but is contaminated to a degree that seed-borne chemical injury may occur in the next planting, the contaminated portion of the planting must be harvested and stored separately from the noncontaminated portion of the planting.
