POSSESSION OF LIVE WILDLIFE
License for Possession of Wildlife
Section 504.460 - Species which may be possessed and propagated

1. Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2 and NAC 504.459 and 504.461, the Department may authorize only the following species of wildlife to be possessed and propagated under the authority of a commercial license:

(a) Chukar.

(b) Hungarian (gray) partridge.

(c) California quail.

(d) Gambel's quail.

(e) Scaled quail.

(f) Bobwhite quail.

(g) Ring-necked and white-winged pheasant.

(h) Mountain quail.

2. Subject to the limitations set forth in NAC 503.110, the Department may authorize the possession and propagation of:

(a) Fish other than those species of fish listed in NAC 504.4595, crustaceans and mollusks under the authority of a commercial license.

(b) Other species of wildlife under the authority of a commercial or noncommercial license, if the Department is satisfied, based upon an investigation conducted pursuant to NRS 503.597, that the importation and possession of that species will not be detrimental to the wildlife or the habitat of wildlife in this State.
