Licensing of Radioactive Material
Section 459.202 - Renewal of specific licenses

Applications for renewal of specific licenses must be filed in accordance with NAC 459.200 and 459.236 and, except as otherwise provided in NAC 459.203, must be accompanied by the appropriate fee as set forth in NAC 459.310. The application for renewal must be received by the Division not later than the date on which the license expires. If the application is not received by that date, the licensee must stop all operations involving radioactive materials and place all sources of radiation in storage until the person is issued a renewed license and:

1. Submit to the Division within 5 days after the license expires an application for renewal of the license accompanied by a fee that is equal to twice the amount of the appropriate fee set forth in NAC 459.310; or

2. Within 30 days after the license expires, transfer all sources of radiation to persons authorized to receive them.
