Section 459.066 - "Rad" defined

"Rad" means the special unit of absorbed dose. One rad equals one hundredth of a joule per kilogram of material; for example, if tissue is the material of interest, 1 rad equals 100 ergs per gram of tissue. One rad is equivalent to 10 milligrays.
