Section 455C.260 - Return pipe loop connections

The return water connections to all low-pressure steam heating boilers supplying a gravity return heating system must be arranged to form what is known as the "return pipe loop connection," so that the water cannot be forced out of the boiler below the safe water level. This connection is illustrated in section IV of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, as adopted by reference in NAC 455C.108.
