Section 445A.255 - Discharge from publicly owned treatment works: Notice to Director

1. If the permit is for a discharge from a publicly owned treatment works, the holder of the permit shall provide notice to the Director of:
(a) Any new introduction
of pollutants into the treatment works from a source which would be a new
source as defined in section 306 of the Act if the source were discharging
pollutants;
(b) Any new
introduction of pollutants into the treatment works from a source which would
be subject to section 301 of the Act if the source were discharging pollutants,
except for such categories and classes of point sources or discharges as are
specified by the Director; and
(c)
Any substantial change in the volume or character of pollutants being
introduced into the treatment works at the time of issuance of the
permit.
2. The notice must include information on:
(a) The quality
and quantity of effluent to be introduced into the treatment works;
and
(b) Any anticipated effect of
the change upon the quality or quantity of effluent to be discharged from the
publicly owned treatment works.
