Section 445A.875 - Public notice of tentative action on application for permit

A public notice for each draft of a permit for an underground injection well, tentative exemption for an aquifer, if required, or intent to deny an application for a permit must be provided by the Director at least 30 days before the issuance of the permit, exemption or denial, in a manner designed to inform interested and potentially interested persons. The notice must be:

1. Published on an Internet website designed to give general public notice; and

2. Mailed to the applicant, any person or group requesting notice, the Division of Minerals, the Division of Public and Behavioral Health of the Department of Health and Human Services, the Division of Water Resources of the Department and the Administrator of the Office of Historic Preservation of the State Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
