Section 445A.819 - "Degrade" defined

"Degrade" means to cause or create an increase in the amount or concentration of any substance in an underground source of drinking water to an extent that:

1. A regulation prescribing primary drinking water standards or secondary maximum contaminant levels is violated; or

2. The Director finds that the existing or potential municipal, industrial, domestic or agricultural use of that water is impaired.
