Section 445A.924 - When well is deemed abandoned

An injection well with casing shall be deemed to be abandoned if its use has been discontinued for at least 1 year. An injection well in which a casing has not been run and for which drilling operations have ceased for at least 30 days shall also be deemed to be abandoned. Any other well shall be deemed abandoned if its use has been discontinued for at least 1 year or if it is in such disrepair that it cannot be used for its intended purpose.
