Section 445A.605 - Application for permit: Required financial information

1. An applicant for a permit to operate a water system shall submit the following financial information with his or her application for a permit:
(a) A copy of a
budget which projects for 12 months, the fixed and operating expenses of the
water system, including taxes, depreciation and emergency reserves for the area
to be serviced by the water system.
(b) A description of the source of financial
resources that will be used to pay for:
(1)
The daily operations of the water system, including the costs of monitoring the
system; and
(2) Any anticipated
capital improvements.
(c) An estimate of the itemized costs of the
construction of any water facilities.
(d) A statement of the rates to be charged
for services rendered by the water system.
(e) An estimate of the number of service
connections to be used in the water system, the number of customers to be
served and the annual revenue to be received from the customers.
2. As used in this section, service connection means a service pipe from the water main to a primary residence, meter set or curb stop.
