Section 445A.6717 - Separation of lines: Sewer main crossing water service lateral

1. Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, if a sewer main crosses a water service lateral, the sewer main must be located at least 18 inches lower than the water service lateral, as measured vertically from the exterior walls of the pipes.
