Section 445A.6678 - Treatment facilities: Determination of necessary amount of redundancy

A supplier of water shall, before a treatment facility is designed, consult with the Division or the appropriate district board of health regarding the amount of redundancy the Division or the appropriate district board of health will determine is necessary for the facility. The Division or the appropriate district board of health shall base that determination upon the number of connections to be served, the availability of other sources of water acceptable to the Division or the appropriate district board of health and the capability of the public water system to control the use of water.
