Section 445A.569 - Sources of water used in plants

1. Each plant's supply of:

(a) Water which is to be processed; and

(b) Water which is used to operate the plant,

must be from an approved source which is:

(1) Properly located, protected and operated;

(2) Easily accessible;

(3) Of an adequate amount; and

(4) Of a safe and sanitary quality which conforms with the applicable laws and regulations of the health authority.

2. The operator shall have the source of the water used in his or her plant analyzed pursuant to NAC 445A.555, unless the source is a public water system. If the water is from a source other than a public water system, the operator shall analyze it for microbiological contaminants at least once each week. These analyses must be performed by a laboratory certified by the Board pursuant to this chapter and are in addition to any performed by the health authority.

3. The operator shall maintain at the plant a record of the approval of the operator's analyses by the health authority.
