Section 445A.552 - Standards for bottled water: Chemical and organic substances

When bottled water, other than mineral water, is delivered to a customer or placed in a vending machine, each liter of water must:

1. Not contain more than 500 milligrams of dissolved solids;

2. Not contain more than 7 million fibers longer than 10 micrometers of asbestos;

3. Have a pH within the range of 6.5 to 8.5; and

4. Not contain any of the following chemical substances in excess of the milligrams per liter listed:
