Section 445A.444 - Examples of planned and unplanned temporary closures

1. The following are examples of planned temporary closures which have specific conditions defining their beginning and end:
(a) Seasonal closures because of normal
weather cycles.
(b) Interruptions
in the active beneficiation processes to provide planned periods of quiescence
for metallurgical or operating reasons.
(c) Any other planned process condition which
will interrupt the active beneficiation process.
2. The following are examples of unplanned temporary closures:
(a) A closure because of
unforeseen weather events.
(b) A
failure in a major system component or a process failure which causes the fluid
management system or a portion thereof to shut down.
(c) The discontinuation of a facility's
operations because of litigation.
