Section 444.6897 - Maintenance of plans for closure and postclosure in operating records of site

The owner or operator of a Class I site shall maintain a copy of the plans for closure and postclosure in the operating records of the site. To receive a permit to operate the disposal site, the plans for closure and postclosure must be placed in the operating records of the disposal site by November 8, 1993, or by the initial receipt of waste, whichever is later. The owner or operator shall notify the solid waste management authority immediately upon placing the plans in its operating records. The owner or operator shall include the plans for closure and postclosure in his or her application for a permit to operate the site.
