Section 444.768 - "Septic tank" defined

"Septic tank" means a watertight, covered receptacle designed and constructed to receive the discharge of sewage from a building sewer, to separate solids from the liquid, to digest organic matter and to store digested solids through a period of detention and to allow the clarified liquids to discharge for final disposal.
