A means for disinfecting the spa water which provides a residual of disinfectant in the spa water must be employed. Chlorine or chlorine compounds are most frequently used for the purpose of disinfecting but another bactericidal agent may be accepted if it is registered with the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the Nevada State Department of Agriculture.
