Section 441A.683 - Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS)

The health authority shall investigate each report of a case having severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) or a suspected case considered to have severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) to:
1. Confirm the diagnosis;
2. Determine the extent of any outbreak; and
3. Determine the need for measures to prevent, suppress and control the spread of the disease, including, without limitation, the need to exclude, isolate or quarantine the case or suspected case.
