Chapter 432A - Services and Facilities for Care of Children

1. The Division may limit the number of children to whom a facility may provide care to safeguard the health, safety and well-being of children currently receiving care or services from the facility and to prevent the facility from assuming responsibility for more children than the Division determines the facility is able to provide adequate care. To determine the number of children to whom a facility may provide care, the Division must determine the number of children for whom safety is reasonably assured.
2. The Division may limit the number of children to whom a facility may provide care in addition to prohibiting the facility from accepting additional children if the Division determines that the facility is unable to provide adequate care or services.
