Section 391.202 - Endorsement to teach computer-based applications

To receive an endorsement to teach introductory computer science that includes issues relating to information technology, tools for productivity, communication and research and computational thinking in kindergarten through grade 12, a person must have a valid elementary, secondary or special license, a valid license to teach special education or a valid license to teach middle school or junior high school education, and must have completed 9 semester hours of course work, consisting of:
1. Three semester hours of coursework in a course of study that covers methods for teaching computer science;
2. Three semester hours of coursework in a course of study that covers concepts in computer science; and
3. Three semester hours of coursework in a course of study that covers methods for teaching computer applications which include, without limitation:
