Chapter 391 - EDUCATIONAL PERSONNEL

1. To receive an endorsement to provide services as a school psychologist assistant, a person must:
(a) Have a high school diploma or equivalent;
and
(b) Either:
(1) Have 3 or more years of experience in the
administration and scoring of tests used in the assessment of learning
abilities of children or adults; or
(2) Have 12 or more semester hours of credit
from an accredited college or university in mental health, special education,
psychology, sociology or counseling.
2. A person who holds only a special license with an endorsement to provide services as a school psychologist assistant is exempt from the requirements of NAC 391.036, paragraphs (b) and (c) of subsection 1 of NAC 391.045, NAC 391.065 and NAC 391.067.
3. The Department shall not issue any other endorsements on a special license with an endorsement to provide services as a school psychologist assistant.
