Chapter 388G - Alternative School Management
Section 388G.Sec. 35 - NEW

1. After July 1, 2018, the Nevada Department of Education shall assess the equity of using the average unit cost for budgeting for the local school precincts and its financial impact on local school precincts. Based upon the assessment, the Department shall make a recommendation to the State Board of Education and the Nevada Legislature regarding whether to continue to use the average unit cost for budgeting for salaries and benefits of staff of the local school precinct or whether to budget for such expenditures in another manner. If the Department recommends that local school precincts budget in another manner, the Department must submit proposed regulations to the State Board of Education for adoption which revise these regulations accordingly and any proposed legislation that is necessary to the next Legislature.
