Section 388.370 - Assessment of speech, language or other communication skills

1. If the speech, language or other communication skills of a pupil with a disability are assessed, the assessment may include:
(a) The use of a standardized
test of speech, language or other communication skills;
(b) An interview of the pupil or of any
person having personal knowledge of the pupil;
(c) An observation of the pupil;
and
(d) The use of information from
a parent or teacher of the pupil.
2. Any interpretation of an assessment of speech, language or other communication skills must be made by a speech and language specialist.
