Section 286.290 - Physical examination of retired employee with disability

1. A retired employee with a disability must submit to an annual medical examination unless it is waived by the Board.

2. If the Board's medical adviser certifies that a retired employee with a disability will remain permanently and totally unable to perform his or her previous job or a comparable job, the Board will waive the requirement for an annual medical examination.

3. The Executive Officer shall suspend the disability retirement allowance of a retired employee with a disability who has been requested to submit a report of a medical examination and fails to submit the report to the System by the end of February of any year.
