ALLOCATION OF SURPLUS PROPERTY
Section 233A.140 - Examination of surplus property

1. An Indian tribe may examine all of the property of the type described in the request, and may select the property which it wishes to receive. Selection must be made in the same order of priority in which the property was allocated among the tribes.

2. A tribe which has elected to examine property must notify the Commission of its selection at least 2 days before the deadline set by the Commission for the allocations. A tribe which fails to give notice pursuant to this section will be allocated property from among that available regardless of its selection.
