Chapter 10 - COMPLETION CERTIFICATION

For dams classified as high hazard, and for those significant hazard dams that are required to have an emergency action plan, the owner of the dam shall file a report of initial fill signed and sealed by the engineer. The report shall be filed by the first May 30 after the approval to operate was issued. The report shall include information on the initial seepage flows, information regarding the integrity of the dam, and the elevations and quantity of water impounded. The owner shall continue to file a report of initial fill by May 30 of each year until the reservoir has filled to the normal permitted storage capacity. After the reservoir has filled to its normal permitted storage capacity, the owner shall submit the report of final fill. No further reports shall be required unless the Department orders the owner to submit a report to address a safety concern.
