Section 247-3-007 - DISPOSITION OF PROCEEDS

007.01 Proceeds From Sale or Auction of Vehicle.

The proceeds from any sale or auction of a vehicle pursuant to these rules and regulations, less towing, storage, and sale expenses, shall be held without interest for the benefit of the registered owner(s) or lienholder(s) for a period of two years following the date of sale or auction.

007.02 Unclaimed Proceeds.

If the proceeds are not claimed within the two-year period, they shall be paid into the State General Fund or General Fund of the county, city or village.
