Section 231-4-2 - The Coordinating Professional

The Coordinating Professional is a licensed design professional recognized as such by the project owner.
4.2.1 The Coordinating Professional's role is:
4.2.1.1 To coordinate communication
between the design professionals related to technical documents on the
project;
4.2.1.2 To act as project
liaison with the governing building official; and
4.2.1.3 To verify that all design disciplines
involved in a project are working in coordination with one another, and that
any changes made to the design are approved by the corresponding profession, so
that public life, health, safety, and welfare are not compromised.
4.2.2 The Coordinating Professional's seal does not indicate responsible charge or direct supervision of the work.
4.2.3 The Coordinating Professional must use the following language in conjunction with their individual seal for identification as the Coordinating Professional: "I, (name of licensee), am the Coordinating Professional on the (name of project) project."
