Effective January 1, 2007 new boiler rooms shall meet the requirements of the building and mechanical codes adopted by the local jurisdiction. Where there is no local jurisdiction or the local jurisdiction has not adopted a building or mechanical code, the requirements of the International Building and Mechanical Codes should be used as a guide.
