Section 469-1-001 - SCOPE AND AUTHORITY

The Assistance to the Aged, Blind, or Disabled Program was established to provide financial aid and medical assistance to individuals in need who are age 65 and older, or, who are age 64 and younger and have been determined to be blind or disabled according to the Retirement, Survivors, and Disabled Insurance or Supplemental Security Income Program via the Social Security Administration. The State Disability Program was established to provide financial aid and medical assistance to individuals who are blind or disabled and who meet the program definition of blindness or disability but do not meet the duration requirements.
