Chapter 7 - MEDICAL USE OF RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL
Section 180-7-096 - RECORDS OF THE RELEASE OF INDIVIDUALS CONTAINING RADIOACTIVE DRUGS OR IMPLANTS CONTAINING RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL

Each applicable record in this section must be maintained for three years after the date of the release of the individual. A licensee must retain a record:

(A) Of the basis for authorizing the release of an individual according to 180 NAC 7-037, if the total effective dose equivalent is calculated by:

(i) Using the retained activity rather than the activity administered;

(ii) Using an occupancy factor less than 0.25 at 1 meter;

(iii) Using the biological or effective half-life; or

(iv) Considering the shielding by tissue; and

(B) That instructions required by 180 NAC 7-037.02 were provided to a breast-feeding woman if the radiation dose to the infant or child from continued breast-feeding could result in a total effective dose equivalent exceeding 1 mSv (0.1 rem).
