Chapter 7 - MEDICAL USE OF RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL
Section 180-7-032 - AUTHORIZATION FOR CALIBRATION, TRANSMISSION AND REFERENCE SOURCES

Any person authorized by 180 NAC 7-007 for medical use of radioactive material may receive, possess, and use the following radioactive material for check, calibration, and reference use:

(A) Sealed sources manufactured and distributed, or redistributed by persons specifically licensed according to 180 NAC 3 or equivalent provisions of the NRC, or Agreement State and that do not exceed 1.11 GBq (30 mCi) each;

(B) Any radioactive material with a half-life of 120 days or less in individual amounts not to exceed 555 MBq (15 mCi);

(C) Any radioactive material with a half-life greater than 120 days in individual amounts not to exceed the smaller of:

(i) 7.4 MBq (200 µCi); or

(ii) 1000 times the quantities in Appendix B of 180 NAC 3; or

(D) Technetium-99m in amounts as needed.
