T he provisions of these regulations include both maximum contaminant level and treatment technique requirements. They apply to all public water systems. Systems must comply with the provisions of this chapter beginning April 1, 2016 unless otherwise specified in this chapter. Failure to comply with the applicable requirements of this chapter is a violation of the Nebraska Safe Drinking Water Act. The authority is found in Neb. Rev. Stat. §§ 71-5301 to 71-5313.
