Section 178-1-007 - SEWAGE AND LIQUID WASTE DISPOSAL

Sewage and all liquid wastes shall be discharged into a municipal sewage system where such a system is available; otherwise, the sewage shall be collected, treated and disposed of in an independent sewage system which complies with the practice recommended or required by local ordinances. Where such do exit, they shall comply with state standards. Drains and overflows from food and drink equipment shall not be connected directly to a sewer. Pit-type privies may be approved in decentralized camping areas. Pit-type privies shall conform to the standards of construction and maintenance set up by the State Department of Health.
