Section 175-17-001 - SCOPE AND AUTHORITY

These regulations govern licensure of intermediate care facilities for the mentally retarded. The regulations are authorized by and implement the Health Care Facility Licensure Act, Neb. Rev. Stat. §§ 71-401 to 71-459.

001.01 These regulations apply to any facility where shelter, food and training or habitation services, advice, counseling, diagnosis, treatment, care, nursing care, or related services are provided for a period of more than 24 consecutive hours to four or more persons residing at the facility who have mental retardation or related conditions, including epilepsy, cerebral palsy, or other developmental disabilities.
