Section 173-2-006 - PROVIDER PAYMENT

Current through September 17, 2024

The rate of reimbursement paid by the Department to a health care facility or a healthcare provider will not exceed the applicable rate set by Nebraska Medicaid for the services provided. Participating providers agree to accept as payment in full the amount paid according to the Department's payment methodologies after all other sources have been exhausted. The provider shall not bill the client for services covered by the program, if the client agrees in advance in writing to pay for a non-covered service, the provider may bill the client for such service. It is not a violation for a provider to bill the client for services when it is determined the client received funds from a third party resource, such funds were designated to pay for covered services, and payment of the funds has not been submitted to the provider.
