Chapter 7 - AUTHORIZATION OF UNDERGROUND INJECTION WELLS AND MINERAL PRODUCTION WELLS BY PERMIT; WHEN REQUIRED

No person shall construct or operate any Class I or III injection well in the State, without authorization by a permit from the Department. Owners and operators of Class II wells must secure authorization to inject from the Nebraska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission. Class V wells shall not be constructed or operated without authorization by the Department. The Director may require the owner or operator of a Class V well to obtain a permit for the reasons outlined in Chapter 6 of this Title.
